Unpaid subscription
In subscription-based billing, itβs crucial to track and manage unpaid or missed payments. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to handle unpaid subscriptions, initiate payments, and verify successful transactions.
Video tutorial for Subscription billing:
When a customer misses a payment or a payment is due soon, this information will be displayed in two main areas of your dashboard:
- Missed/Upcoming Payments Section: This area provides an overview of all the missed or upcoming payments due from your customers.
- Subscription List: Each customer's subscription status is tracked here, and you can see if they have any pending payments directly from this list.
To dive deeper into unpaid subscriptions:
- Navigate to the Dashboard: In your dashboard, you will find a section labeled "Missed/Upcoming Payments." This section allows you to see all pending payments at a glance.
Click on Missed/Upcoming Payments: Once you click this section, it will redirect you to a detailed page where you can see the breakdown of missed payments by customer, date, and subscription.
If a customer has unpaid subscriptions, you can take action to remind them and initiate payment:
- Click on the "BOOK" Button: On the redirected page, next to the unpaid subscription, youβll find a "BOOK" button. This is used to notify the customer about their pending payment and initiate the payment process again.
Redirected Page: After clicking "BOOK," youβll find a popup, where you can confirm that you wish to proceed with the payment initiation.
This is the redirected page after clicking on the BOOK button as shown below:
Then after clicking on the Yes,Book then the transaction gets charged and when the payment gets successful, the payment shows successful in the subscription list as shown below:
If the payment was successful this will be reflected in the Missed/Upcoming Payments.
Then for the verification that the payment was successful, look in for the Payouts module from the menu to find the successful transaction reflected as shown below:
